SMART Service Desk Company was formed by couple of forward thinking pioneers in the IT services industry. The vision has always been to create an innovative IT Service Management (ITSM) solution and evolve it with the advancements in the industry. The architectural concept was simple, use the industry leading standard framework and build the product inside out.

The company was formed in 2006 and the first product, “SMART Service Desk ITSM” was brought to market in early 2007. The product development continued to include the SACM (System Asset and Configuration Management) and then eventually GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) resulting in an Enterprise level ITSM Solution developed using industry leading best practices and standards such as ITIL Framework, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, AS 9001 and NIST.

In 2012, the vision pivoted to Service Automation and the resurgence of in-house SMART Workflow Engine to a robust pattern matching and self-learning module which can support fully automated Business Process Management.
